🌿 About Las Tres Hermanas 🌿

Traditionally, the Three Sisters represent corn, beans, and squash β€” three crops that sustain one another in Indigenous agriculture across the Americas. Each one grows differently, but together they nourish the soil, protect each other, and thrive in harmony, feeding the people.

In our art practice, the Tres Hermanas represent us β€” Katie, Bea and Christina β€” and the creative spirit we cultivate.

But more than that, las tres hermanas represent everyone who walks into one of our events.

Each person brings their own voice, vision, and rhythm.
Each style is unique.
Each approach is different.
Together, we create a welcoming space where
everyone grows.

Corn stands tall β€” representing the structure, the technique, the little bit we teach.

Beans climb together β€” representing the collaboration, the flow, the way art connects us.

Squash grounds us β€” representing our boldness, individuality, and heart.

Our Tres Hermanas symbol reminds us that:

Art is not meant to be identical. It’s meant to be deeply rooted in individual soul, supported and shared.

Arte y Alma is about finding YOUR flow β€” with your hands, with your spirit, with your community. Let your creative energy flourish.
